Assess an upcoming renewal for churn or expansion risk, and generate a risk rating, key drivers, and a tailored save-or-grow action plan.
Produce a structured renewal risk assessment including a risk rating, the top drivers behind it, and a concrete save-or-grow action plan for the account.
Use this skill 60–90 days before a renewal date when preparing for a renewal review, QBR, or account strategy session.
Analyze the account data provided below and extract key signals relevant to renewal health: $account_data
Analyze the account data provided below and extract key signals relevant to renewal health:
$account_dataAssign an overall renewal risk rating of Low, Medium, or High. Justify the rating by mapping specific signals from the account data to risk indicators such as low product adoption, unresolved escalations, budget pressure, champion departure, or competitive threats.
Identify the top 3–5 risk drivers ranked by impact. For each driver, describe what the signal is, why it threatens the renewal, and how urgent it is to address.
Determine whether the primary renewal objective is to save the account (prevent churn) or grow it (expand ARR). Base this on the risk rating and account trajectory, then state the objective clearly before building the action plan.
Write a Save-or-Grow action plan with 4–6 prioritized actions. Each action should specify who owns it (CSM, AE, exec sponsor, etc.), a suggested timeline, and the intended outcome. Tailor actions directly to the risk drivers identified in Step 3.
Summarize the full assessment in an executive-ready format: one paragraph of context, the risk rating, the top three drivers in bullet form, the Save-or-Grow objective, and the prioritized action plan. Keep it concise enough to paste into a renewal review deck or CRM note.
Deliver the response in clearly labeled sections: (1) Risk Rating with justification, (2) Top Risk Drivers ranked by impact with urgency tags, (3) Save-or-Grow Objective with rationale, (4) Action Plan as a numbered list with owner and timeline per item, and (5) Executive Summary as a short paragraph. Use plain language suitable for a CRM note or renewal deck.
