Define the strategic account goals. Identify the account's business objectives, desired outcomes, and what success looks like for both the customer and your organization over the next 6–12 months.
Map the stakeholder landscape. Identify key decision-makers, influencers, and champions. For each, note their role, level of influence, current sentiment (supportive/neutral/detractor), and engagement priority.
Identify account risks and mitigation strategies. Surface risks such as churn signals, competitive threats, relationship gaps, or product fit issues. For each risk, suggest a concrete mitigation action.
Define the next plays. List 3–5 prioritized actions the account team should execute in the next 30–60 days, specifying the play type (e.g. executive briefing, expansion discovery, renewal conversation), owner role, and expected outcome.
Summarize the account plan into an executive snapshot: a 3–5 sentence brief covering account health, strategic opportunity, top risk, and the single most important next action.
Structure the response as a clearly labeled account plan with six sections: (1) Strategic Goals, (2) Stakeholder Map (table format with name/role/sentiment/priority), (3) Risks & Mitigations (table with risk/severity/mitigation), (4) Next Plays (numbered list with owner and timeline), and (5) Executive Snapshot. Use headers for each section. Keep language direct and action-oriented.
